[Mnbird] Crazy female

I know that it’s not uncommon for male cardinals to fly into the windows in the spring thinking they are being territorial when seeing their reflections! But we have a pair of cardinal that every morning sit in an old pine tree outside our window and the female continuously flies into the window while the male sits and watches. If I open the window they will fly to the other side of the house and the female once again continues her behavior. Strange indeed.
Any idea?
