They’re back in the Kellogg Weaver Dunes area, as well as Lark Sparrow,
Field Sparrow, Eastern Kingbird, Brown Thrasher, lovely female Common
Merganserwith the wind blowing her punk hairdo around and 5 chicks
following her around on the small pond there.
Just north of the Weaver exit off 61 is a pond. You can drive or walk the
minimum maintenance road parallel to 61 to the bridge that is closed. From
there, you can see swarms of Cliff Swallows around and under the bridge
over 61. They perch on the wires running along the road for good long looks
at this beautiful bird.
Also seen: Yellow-rumpled Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Warbling Vireo, Palm
Warbler, Common Yellowthroat. Beautiful morning to quarantine with the
birds!!
