A fledgling Eastern Bluebird recently trained on Paul’s amateur radio antenna....Teetering while responding imperfectly to the adults song. Today they were singing farther up our street.

For a week a Black-billed Cuckoo has been clucking throughout the neighborhood and It seemed to be following me on my walk. It showed up at our fountain during a gardening coffee break. About 25 years ago one nested in our first yard tree. Amazing.

Our fountain has never attracted more birds. Were the birds better able to hear it? The neighborhood has been much quieter during the pandemic with limited traffic on the county road.

Good birding all.
