Saw a lazuli bunting last night along with bay breasted, blacburnian,
yellow and yellow rumped warblers, indigo buntings and Rosebreasted
grossbeaks. A little flycatcher in a plowed field next to the bird
feeders(not to good at id-ing flycatchers and loads of other birds. Heard a
sora call from the marsh pond down the hill. All in a private yard in
Dassel, just west of Delano a couple miles off Hwy 12. Milt Blomberg posted
on MN Heartland Birding on Facebook the address. You have to join the group
to see it. Otherwise you can text this number, 320-894-8745 (He asks for
texts only) and he said people are welcome to come see it on Sunday if it's
still there. He responded to my text promptly and I ran out to see it last
night. It was at the feeder. He allowed my car and another car to park
right next to the house in front of the feeders. Just be careful to park
left of the pine tree as he has a bucket over a well to the right of the
pine tree.
