[Mnbird] Hadley Lake Report

It is spring. My neighbor's filled green vinyl dumpster tub has risen from the snowbank. And today we saw the first hint of blue of the plastic kids swimming pool that has been in their back yard all winter.

Meanwhile, a pair of House Finches are building a nest in the rapidly browning wreath on the shed in my back yard, So my neighbors will be wondering what the heck is wrong with me. But I have to leave it up until the young fledge. (Finches have been roosting in the wreath all winter long.)

It must be Spring here on the North end of Hadley Lake.

The dominant goose pair raucously announced their arrive this morning. Right now there are no interlopers to chase away.

The FOY RWB paid a visit to my feeders -- a true harbinger of the change of season.

And a male Cardinal staked out a tree top and began his Spring love song.

It must be Spring!
