I discovered this sizable pile of feathers this morning, long  feathers mostly muted dark color(a few with a white edge leading to a white tip of the feather). Small , more fluffy feathers seem beige/tan. Feet are red. I don’t see any marks in the snow to indicate wings in takeoff and mammal tracks seem older and melted (lots of squirrels in this fenced-in area).
Any thoughts on ID?
