Friday May 19, as I exited the St. Paul Cathedral 8:15 pm, a peregrine falcon was noisily circling around the cupola in behavior that looked like mating flight display. In addition to the other known nesting sites in St. Paul (1st bank building downtown, under the Ford bridge over the Mississippi River), perhaps a pair may be nesting atop the Cathedral.
A few minutes later, a couple miles away, saw my FOY common nighthawk above Snelling Ave. in St. Paul.
