Over the last two weeks, I've seen a handful of crows flying in my neighborhood - West Como - in St. Paul carrying nesting material. They gave me the hope that the the grey, cold, windy weather would go away soon.

Subject: [Mnbird] Crows
Good morning. Observing 4 crows across the street gathering nest
material. First they are in a tree, physically tearing small branches
off and flying down the block with them. They seem to select the
branches carefully and work diligently to remove them. They next come
back to the lawn, gather loose grass and leaf material, then back to the
tree again. Hoping they are not nesting this year in the tree behind
our yard, unfortunately they are quite noisy neighbors until the nest is
fledged. Cindy in North Mankato
