Bird Walk Summary
8:00 - 10:30 am
 
The birding began very slowly on this walk, with very few birds along the upper trails by the Visitor Center.  But picked up along the Hill side trail and the Long Meadow Lake trail.  12 species of Warblers were seen or heard, Including Ovenbird, Northern Waterthrush, Golden-winged, Blue-winged, Black-and-white, Nashville and Black-throated Green Warbler.  A few Sparrows were also observed, but many of the nesting birds have yet to arrive.  Here are some of the species observed on the walk:

Gray Catbird
Ovenbird
Northern Waterthrush
Golden-winged Warbler
Blue-winged Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler

Orange-crowned Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Yellow Warbler
Palm Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Swamp Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow
